Is anyone else experiencing any issues with the network? I haven't been
able to get the "triangle" for the last day or so, and I've turned
on/off the radio several times and even hard reset my treo 650.

Apparition of life, evolution of species and emergence of man19 Dec 2005 16:33 GMT3
Graduated in physics and chemistry, living in France, I have some ideas
about the apparition of life, the evolution of species and the
emergence of man.
I consider for example, that we  move about in a cyber world and that

Hi-- I would very much appreciate any information or advice the group could
offer with regard to a continuing issue where calls-- with regularity and
regardless of location or signal strength at beginning of the call-- drop
after 15-20 minutes or so.

Porting a wireline number19 Dec 2005 06:21 GMT5
I have a landline phone that I would like to port to Cingular.  I would
like the landline number to replace one of the phones on my Cingular
account.  In other words, after porting, my landline would be
cancelled, and the cell phone would ring to the ported landline number.

Any advice would be great.
I switched to Cingular from AT&T and brought over my Nokia 3650 after

Cingular vs T-Mobile for data18 Dec 2005 15:11 GMT34
In order to tether on Cingular with support, I apparently need a plan
that normally costs $80/month and is currently on sale for about $60. It
occurred to me to check what it would cost at T-mobile.
As best I can determine, I can have unlimited data from T-mobile for a

3G in my area17 Dec 2005 02:38 GMT28
I noticed that for my zip code, I can buy the Sierra Wireless 860 card.
Does this mean that 3G is available in my area?  I can't find any
coverage  maps on Cingular that show exactly where it would be the 3G
service vs. EDGE service.
SMS17 Dec 2005 01:07 GMT5
On Friday my AT&T GSM service was converted to Cingular.  I used to be able
to SMS with Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile.  Now, can't send or receive SMS to
anyone outside of Cingular.  Anyone else experiencing this?
Interesting experience with Cingular customer service...16 Dec 2005 19:48 GMT8
I had an interesting experience recently (I thought).
My teenaged son was messing around with his phone, and got the prompt to
enter his PUK code - I think he was messing around with passwords, and
forgot his.  So, being a typical teenager (or maybe thinking it was the same
Home area is GSM but spend a lot of time in non-GSM areas.16 Dec 2005 16:33 GMT1
I currently have a Nokia gait phone with Cingular Nation GAIT service.
Much of the time I am in northern Wisconsin in areas not having GSM.
With GAIT being killed what are people doing in these situations?  I
would like an updated phone but GAIT phones are not offered anymore.
