The Loyalty DEPT at Cingular23 Jan 2006 01:39 GMT6
Thought I would pass this along as I just found out from Cingular's
customer service last night about this department.
According to what I was told,  these people have the power to alter
your account / monthly plan allot more than what a customer service rep

Trying to use by Cingular wireless to access Bellsouth newsgroups23 Jan 2006 01:12 GMT5
Hi all! - I'm new to the group and am impressed with the level of
expertice and the willingness to help displayed here.
We travel 9 months out of the year and rely totally on our Cingular
service for not only phone service, but we're now trying the EDGE/GPRS.
easiest phone?22 Jan 2006 17:28 GMT9
I currently have the Cingular Family plan with 3 phones.   My 80 year old
technically impaired mother has use of my daughter's former Free2Go Nokia
5160, but I'd rather not pay for two plans, especially as we don't use up
all our minutes as it is.
good SIM solution for Ukraine?22 Jan 2006 15:26 GMT1
Can someone recommend a good SIM-card solution for travel to the
Ukraine?  Both T-mobile and Cingular charge about $3.00/min for
roaming there.
Thanks.
Any way to save a voice mail message to something permanent / a computer?21 Jan 2006 15:00 GMT8
Sometimes I get a voice mail that's funny or poinient and I'd like to save
it. I could
just play it on the speaker-phone into a microphone to my comptuer (into a
WAV file)
coverage map with band information?20 Jan 2006 06:10 GMT2
I'd like to try out pre-pay Cingular before I buy into a contract, but
I currently have a tri-mode phone (no 850).  Is there a map that shows
which bands are used where, so I can see if I'll need 850 coverage?
Thanks.
Battery question20 Jan 2006 00:53 GMT3
I have an Ericsson R300LX that AT&T sent me a couple years ago when they
went digital.  I just put a new Lithium Ion battery in it.  The
instructions say to fully charge and discharge it at least three times when
it is new.  I carry the phone mainly for emergencies so it gets ...

Some good news for the carriers, bad news for neighbors trying to block
cell towers in their neighborhoods.

Cingular coverage in greater NY area?19 Jan 2006 13:10 GMT2
Because I travel internationally so frequently, I have a GSM phone.
However, last time I checked (back when T-mobile was the only GSM game
in town), GSM service in New York City was unreliable, and in the
suburbs it was practically non existant.  (By contrast, I have VZW
Question on upgrading19 Jan 2006 00:42 GMT2
I admit this question may seem dumb to most of you. I am new to the phones
with a chip (yes my previous one was that old.:)) ) If I want to buy a
different phone, will putting this chip in a new phone carry over my phone
number and all info?
W600i18 Jan 2006 18:01 GMT2
I see that Cingular sell the W600i..
does anyone know if it's at all possible to install MSN chat on this

MSN.

name it will be selling under?  Thanks
MEdiaNetUnlimited as laptop modem18 Jan 2006 15:30 GMT31
I just signed up for MEdiaNetUnlimited intending to use it as modem access
to my email from my laptop.  I believe I had it working once before, but
cannot remember what I did.  It was on another laptop.  I remember people
helping me here at this newsgroup, warning me that ...
Burned by Cingular18 Jan 2006 14:59 GMT7
I signed up for the Pay as You  Go plan on October 1 with the $.10 per
minute, $1 per usage day plan.  It came with $25 prepaid, so I added another
$75 to get it up to an even $100.
The expiration date of December 30 was written on my contract which I placed
