I'm not savvy on phones for starters.
I have had an old  Motorola V50 for years and have just bought a new K700i
from Argos for £75quid.
Both old & new phones are on O2, and they both appear to work okay if I swap

According to the sonyericsson website, my f500i supports the following
networks

I learnt that changing the homepage URL for the K700i to "mailto:" will
result in pushing the wap button to compose a new SMS. Are there any
other shortcuts like the "mailto:" to access alarms or anything like
that?
