Fido coverage30 Sep 2003 04:45 GMT1
I've just booked my New Year's trip to Mt Ste Anne, Quebec. Anyone
know how good is the coverage, especially on the slopes. I know that
at least here in Ontario the resort I use most often (Blue Mountain /
Collingwood) it is pretty much non-existent. Hopefully they have more
SL55 or M55 or Nokia or Other29 Sep 2003 07:34 GMT6
I am looking to upgrade my phone from my current Nokia 3390 and was
wondering what types of phones are out there in the $250.00 range.  I've
been with Nokia since I have been a Fido customer and I would like to
change.  I like the looks of the Siemens M55 and SL55 are they good ...

Not looking for a review of any advanced features, but the basics,
reception, sound quality, battery life and durability.

5100 ringtone bug26 Sep 2003 16:31 GMT4
Hi, everytime I download a ringtone, the phone will 'reboot' itself
and the ringtone won't be saved.  Anyone find a way to get around the
problem yet?
Or has a new firmware been released yet?
Buying a  Nokia 660026 Sep 2003 02:47 GMT2
I'd like to buy a Nokia 6600 as soon as it comes out.
(I hear it's coming in October).   But the problem is, it
seems like it will only come out in Europe at first.
So I'm thinking I'll have to buy through the Internet.
Fido GPRS Internet - Is it just my phone or is it pretty flaky?26 Sep 2003 02:36 GMT1
I've had the Nokia 7210 and the GPRS package for a couple of months.
The phone is alright and everything seems to work ok.  The internet
access is spotty at best.  I never have a problem getting a connection
but the wap pages never seem to work properly.

Sony Clie UX50 PDA- my impressinons, but Thumbs Down25 Sep 2003 07:47 GMT1
This is not Fido, but I am sure some people here will be interested in
my comments, so here are my observations:
- Screen is too tiny (effective usable size is less than 1/2 the area of
my Visor)
Homuch for a used 3390?25 Sep 2003 01:58 GMT3

Anyone knows what's a rough price on this?

Has anybody had any success via IR.
I don't want to do a lot of data, but am getting a new Palm PDA and
would like the opportunity to check some websites on the road (ie ferry
conditions, airport information, company email)
