Hi, I moved to a different area in Markham and my 3390's signal is now
zilch indoors.  I barely get 1 or 2 bars and that's only for brief
moments in the day.  Their "solution" was that I should try a newer
model phone.  Can I go to any store and buy a GSM phone and put my SIM

I am using a SE T610 phone, however, it's not originally from fido, that's
why none of the internet service is setting up. Can anyone help ? thanks!

can my old 'telus' startac be used on fido?  I think it is a CDMA phone.  my
friend lost his and can't afford a new fido phone.

I'm trying to find the way to manually switch from GSM to AMPS mode on my
6340i phone.  Is there not a way to do it?  Will it only switch to AMPS mode
when there is no GSM around?

It's 8:50 am est and for the last 15 mins I've been trying to call CS and
keep getting "Due to technical difficulties, blah blah". Wtf?? If they need  
to do system maint. they should do it at 3 am..

Will they replace it with an UNLOCKED phone?

I have a question about this new plan.
If 2 subscribers are both on the Fido to Fido plan, and 1 subscriber calls
the other, is the call free for both subscribers, or only the one who made
the call?

I just went to Fido.ca and found out that they have the V60i soon...
Also, if you go to some reseller like Unipage and pagerWorld, they
have the 3390b. Which uses the housing of 3315, and the screen looks
different, still the same black and white, but the signal and battery

What is the latest firmware version for the 3390 on the Fido network of
course?  Also can that software be downloaded from the net or do I have to
make a trip to my local Fido store to get it flashed?

i've noticed rogers advertising the nokia 3300, the phone that has a full
thumb keyboard, and the screen in the centre of the phone with a different
orientation.
is it possible to get this phone unlocked and then use it on fido?
