Palm Tungsten T3 -> T68i on Fido23 Oct 2003 07:22 GMT3
Anyone have a set of instructions for setting up a Palm Tungsten T3 to
link to a T68i via Bluetooth and out over the GPRS (I assume) Fido
data network?
One thing that makes me somewhat suspicious of my current setup: My
Roger's "Fido" deal23 Oct 2003 05:03 GMT15
I'm thinking of going for this (I was planning to switch anyways, this is
just a cheaper way of doing it). Was wondering about a few things though,
I've checked their site and tried to go to a store but got no useful info
from either:
Related Topic - POP access to shaw email accounts- want to access email via the Palm Tungsten T3 over Fido23 Oct 2003 02:19 GMT2
I am trying to access my email over Fido on my T3.
Shaw hides their true email server POP addresses, but I know they exist.
(used to have them, but can't find them now) Can somebody assist.
When I get it fully working, I will let people know how it works

Who makes Fido's Cell Site Equipment?22 Oct 2003 00:18 GMT3
I was just curious who manufactures Fido's equipment in their cell sites?  I
heard it's Nokia is that true?  When I worked on their cell sites as an
installer/electrician I did not see anything labeled as from being by Nokia.
Any technical guru who knows Fido's ins and outs know ...
How to exploit Telus and Rogers offers?20 Oct 2003 23:59 GMT7
I've got a couple of old Fido phones lying around unused and also a couple
of SIM's I've picked up along the way.  I'm thinking of going to a Rogers
booth, handing over my old, unused Fido phone along with dead SIM, taking
their replacement phone and low end plan and giving the ...
How to keep phone number when switching to Fido20 Oct 2003 22:47 GMT11
Does anyone know if it's possible to keep my phone number when I switch to
Fido? I'm using Cityfone right now, it also uses the Microcell Network. I
talked to a CSR from Fido and they said they can't do it. But I remember
reading somewhere in this newsgroup that it's possible.
New Fido Unlimited Plan?20 Oct 2003 16:24 GMT19
I just heard, but haven't gotten the particulars.  But, apparently FIDO is
offering an unlimited 24/7 plan (local only) for $40/month?  Should one give
up their regular land line?

> City Fone is great but what happens if you have ADLS at home?
Sign your neighbour up to DSL and then run some
CAT5 cable to your house : ).

"It's time to switch from Fido to a much bigger backyard."
So reads the advertisement in this morning paper.
Another sheep by the name of BM is not far behind.
Siemens S5519 Oct 2003 05:28 GMT1
I'm being offered a Siemens S55 handset for $320 with camera attachment, and
data cable... The phone is apparently unlocked.
Is this a good deal?
T310 and "No access"19 Oct 2003 00:20 GMT1
I'm getting a lot of "No access" problems with my T310. I know that this
problem is quite problem with T310s and Sony Ericssons in general. I was
just wondering: should I bother swapping my T310 with another T310
hoping the next might not be defective or do they *all* suffer from ...
Voice Mail Indicator on T310 - Code 18?18 Oct 2003 15:43 GMT2
I have a question about the Voice Mail indication with the T310 and/or Fido.
When someone leaves a v-mail, I get a text message saying code 18 and some
other irrelevant information. Is this the standard Fido way of advising us
of a voice mail?
Activation Credits for new subscribers18 Oct 2003 05:16 GMT6
