Just found out the Vancouver CityFido package has increased from $40 to $45
monthly.

Well, it was Cingular who won. 41 billion dollars for AT&T Wireless. (Analysts
were predicting between 30 and 35 billion). 41 billion in cash. That is a lot
of money.
So they combine Cingular with AT&T to make a formidable company against

Fido had told me it woudln't be a problem to get it and that I should look at
kiosks and telephone equipment vendors.
Went to a Fido kiosk yesterday. The serial cable wasn't even in the official
available inventory from Fido, so the kiosks can't order it.

I'm taking a vacation for 2-3 months and won't be needing my phone at
the time.  Anyone have experience temporarily disabling their Fido
account?  I understand there are several ways.  Basically, I don't want
to be paying for a service I'm not using.  The handset is mine and I'm

AT&T Wireless in the USA.
Vodaphone is rumoured to be a bidder, but if it takes over AT&T Wireless, it

Does anyone have a definitive answer to this?  Has anyone able to
migrate their home phone number to cityfido and keep ADSL service from
telus?

From what I have read, the GSM networks generally NAT all GPRS handsets who
then appear to have all the same IP address from the internet side of things.
This means that a server on the internet cannot know whether requests are
comming from different users or all the same user etc.
