Phone Upgrades With Prepaid Service?16 Mar 2004 01:14 GMT10
I've been using Fido prepaid for about 4 years with a Nokia 5190 phone
(old, yes I know).  I've tried calling CS to see if I can get a
discount to upgrade my phone but since I'm on prepaid, I've had no
luck (I guess 4 years as a loyal customer means nothing).  I'm just
store voice mail pin?15 Mar 2004 19:50 GMT1
How do I go about storing my voicemail pin so I can just hold down the 1
key and get right into my messages? I used to have this set up, but when
they changed me over to CityFido, for some reason it got wiped out. I have
a Nokia 3190, I believe.
Pocket PC with Ericsson T68i15 Mar 2004 19:21 GMT1
I'm trying to connect my Toshiba 3750 (Pocket PC 2003) to Fido's GPRS
service using an Ericsson T68i.  The phone's unlocked, but I don't think
that should cause any problems.
Every time I try to connect, the phone gives me the following error:
Cancellation of service (with contracts)15 Mar 2004 01:34 GMT3
In the new rules, Fido reserves the right to cancel your service. They list
customer "fraud" as a reason for cancelling. But they can also cancel for any
other reason, but with a "reasonable" notice.
What is important is that if you are on contract, and Fido cancels your

Fido's definition of "unlimited"13 Mar 2004 00:31 GMT2
In my bill, there was a pamphlet describing a new "entente de service" (not
sure what the exact enlish term is for that).
Fido clearly defines what it means by "unlimited" in its packages:
voice: 5000 minutes
Fido Dollars11 Mar 2004 22:23 GMT6
tidbit from a furry 4 legged CSR:
If you want a phone valued at $225, you do not wait until you have spent
$4,500.00 with Fido before you can get a new phone.  You can use whatever
amount of Fido Dollars you have accumulated so far to reduce the price of a

I just got my new T616! Very cool, glad I upgraded. But I didn't
realize Fido didn't support SSM yet. Anyone got any ideas when it'll
be supported? And how much?
Thanx,

Compensation for telephones sold programmed to call my mobile telephone.08 Mar 2004 22:19 GMT18
A USA Telecom company sold phones that were programmed wrong so they
call my mobile phone instead of voicemail.
The problem is the number that was programmed in was only valid for
one place in the USA.  When that phone is used in my state, people
Fido Rewards - Finally07 Mar 2004 22:22 GMT5
Finally, Fido's introduced "Fido Rewards" where you get 5% of your bill
back as "Fido Dollars" towards the purchase of a new handset.
If they'd had this when I first signed up, in the summer of 2000, I'd
have over $200 towards a 7210 by now.
