I'm a newbie at this so be patient with me. 1 -Why are so many people asking to unlock cell phones? Is it because a Rogers phone cannot be activated with Bell and unlocking it will solve the problem?

I've seen that the SE P900 is already available from FIDO. I own a T-616 and I'm generally satisfied of it except for the image quality. Anybody knows if the P900 is any better ? Many thanks.

Does anyone know how I can send an SMS message without using the Fido (or any) gateway? When I was a Telus Mobility subscriber I was able to email a message to my phone using xxx-xxx-xxxx@mobile.telusmobility.com .

Called fido to get the MMS setup information. Instead of sending me a traditional SMS, they sent me a WAP push !!! Think of it as the phone getting a message to retreive a specific URL from their server.
