Planning a Vancouver vacation, and would prefer to use an unlocked GPRS
data card I already have, for web connectivity.  Which GSM operators
(including virtuals reselling Microcell), provide GPRS data service for
short-term users?

    I'm looking for an inexpensive GSM phone and I was hoping that
I might find some suggestions here. I have a 3390 but the battery doesn't
last very long so if I'm going to use it, I'll have to buy a new battery
and a SIM card. I realized that would cost me almost as much as if ...

Is it because a Rogers phone cannot be activated with Bell and unlocking it

Today my Fido phone rang about 3PM, it was a private number. I picked
and male voice  (sounded like pre recorded) spilled out on me that it's
finally time to switch to the right provider - Telus - with so and so
and bla and bla...

Called fido to get the MMS setup information. Instead of sending me a
traditional SMS, they sent me a WAP push !!!
Think of it as the phone getting a message to retreive a specific URL from
their server.
