I'm in Ottawa, and I have the Mitsubishi G310. I'm getting a lot of "Call Failed" messages. A search showed that back in 2001, people blamed the phone. But, they're rather predictable, usually around 5:00 pm. I also lose incoming calls: phone rings, caller id is displayed,

| city fido vs $40 plan | 27 May 2004 19:33 GMT | 13 |
I see that the cityfido for $45 includes the system "fee" of $6.95. Currently am on the 400/$400 plus the $6.95. Is there any reason not to switch from a 400 minute account to an unlimited account for virtually the same monthly charge?

If this takeover bid goes through, we fido customers will face the prospect of getting new phones which may or may not match the quality of the GSM fido phones we presently have. I shutter at my next suggestion, which would be to unlock our GSM phones, and switch to

| Telus offer, a very rough take on the numbers | 19 May 2004 16:04 GMT | 2 |
Telus is offering $1.1 Billion for Fido, with just over 1.1 million customers, so they are paying about $1000 per customer. I looked at some numbers, given that Fido is pushing prices down, it is likely that the demise of Fido could lead them to an effective increase
