Hissing Sound w/ Nokia 310031 Jul 2004 18:06 GMT2
Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing a bad hissing or "airy" sound
while using the Nokia 3100. Most of the reviews I read said this phone was
excellent but now that I have it, I'm not too sure.

GSM Unlocking done cheaply in Toronto (GTA)
We can't do all, but we can do most.
It's possible it could be done for free. Like In the case of most Nokia's.
Let me know what you need, and I'll let you know the price.
Motorola V400 unlock question + free mobile tools?30 Jul 2004 10:08 GMT4
Just to be clear, I do NOT want to flex or replace the firmware of my phone,
I just want to unlock my FIDO phone so I can change sim cards when I travel.
I own the Motorola made (not a knockoff) USB cable as well.
Is there any software that exists that will allow me to unlock my ...
Enabling disabled menus28 Jul 2004 17:47 GMT1
The phones sold by Fido often have certain menus disabled for whatever reason.
In my case, the menus that select which frequencies to perform network search
on have been disabled on the Siemens M55.
Since my phone consumes mega power when performing network search and this

Best Fido service20 Jul 2004 14:39 GMT13
Just wanted to mention that I've been really impressed by Fido's service
lately. I  decided to use the 100 Fido Dollars I had and ordered a Z600 just
before noon on Thursday. I was told that I would receive it in 3 to 4 days
but was worried that this was optimistic since a store I ...
Reception North and West Vancouver20 Jul 2004 02:43 GMT8
I recently signed up with Fido, via Sprint Canada, using a Siemens Ericsson
Z200. Reception in the area that I am using it in it, is so poor I have
returned it to Sprint. Numerous calls from the Z200 establish connection
i.e. ring and are picked, but no voice when answered. Also ...

Cell phone wars coming to the air17 Jul 2004 20:58 GMT1
Cell phones have long been banned from aircraft in north america.
In recent times, some airlines outside north america have made plans to incude
micro cells in an aircraft to provide some wireless services such as SMS and
GPRS on passenger's own cellphones.

Strange symbol on Siemens M55 (+ locking onto Rogers15 Jul 2004 14:45 GMT2
Was at cottage, on lake, at the one spot where there is some coverage from the
far away Tremblant antenna (26km away).
One has to move the canoe to the precise location (which doesn't seem to be
constant) to get the 2 bars needed to do anything with the phone (GPRS etc).
