Rogers bought us27 Sep 2004 17:59 GMT70
In case you haven't heard, looks like Fido is agreeing to it:

I certainly hope City|Fido stays in tact, as does Fido's current voice
mail with instant reply. I have Roger's vm system. I'm guessing if
Air Canada27 Sep 2004 17:56 GMT2
Why is it that Air Canada can be bailed out, but not Fido??

anonymous prepaid fido27 Sep 2004 14:58 GMT3
Hi all. I just bought my first cell off ebay, a vtech fido phone, no sim
included.
I want to register it anonymously once I get a fido sim. How do I go about this?
Should I do it online, over a landline, or over the cell?
Fido Contracts?27 Sep 2004 13:33 GMT3
I am on a month to month basis for $70 month unlimited plan.  Can they
cancel it as soon as Rogers buys Microcell?
Should I sign up for a 2 year contract just before it is approved?

Universal Dual GSM SIM Adapter27 Sep 2004 13:33 GMT1
Does anyone know of a place that sells a universal dual SIM adapter in
Canada or maybe in the US? I've seen webpages selling this product (as
well as on ebay) but most of them are overseas (in Europe or
Australia).

Other Possibilities24 Sep 2004 14:01 GMT1
I could see this possibility, Fido stays with limited coverage, or high
roaming fees in areas that are not covered, and becomes the cheap, but
limited basic version of Rogers service.

Fido advertising23 Sep 2004 06:31 GMT6
Is it just me or are the frequent Fido ads still on TV really out of place now
?
For a company whose board of directors have thrown in the towel and announced
it was going out of business, shouldn't they immediately switch their ads to
UNLOCK Software?21 Sep 2004 22:11 GMT1
I have a MOT V300, I have the USB data cable.  Where can I find the
unlocking software so that I can switch to another provider? (I am
travelling to Europe next week, and don't want to pay the high roaming
charges)
irDA with Siemens C6516 Sep 2004 01:05 GMT3
I recently purchased a Siemens C65 and am running it with Fido. I downloaded
Mobile Phone Manager from the Siemens site and it installed well. Now the IR
monitor in Win98SE sees the phone and identifies it as the C65. However the
Siemens MPM CX65 s/w says "no telephone connected". ...
Agreement14 Sep 2004 17:14 GMT6
I am on a month to month plan. I'd like to get another phone. If I sign an
agreement, can I get the phone of my choice for the "agreement" price?

Vodafone in Toronto??12 Sep 2004 19:55 GMT1
I was driving along Adelaide today, towards Yonge and noticed a film crew,
which is not that unusual.
However, there was a sign about a Vodafone talent "something or other" in
the food court of the building.
Motorola V40011 Sep 2004 18:00 GMT1
I've been a Nokia guy for the last 5 years, but it's time for a new phone
and the absense of Nokia's at Fido mean I'm considering the V400.
What is this GSM850? Is Fido going to start using this frequency in Toronto?
Does anyone know if a comparable Nokia is coming to Fido?
Fido's US Roaming Partner?11 Sep 2004 16:57 GMT9
Does anyone know which American cellular network Fido customers roam on
while in the US?
