Should I switch to Fido from Rogers now?29 Nov 2004 15:36 GMT5
I am currently a Rogers customer.   Their roaming charges and long
distance prices in the US (although currently I don't do a lot, about a
month a year) piss me off.  but costs me about $100 more in long
distance/roaming.
Montreal subway29 Nov 2004 14:55 GMT6
When is Rogers/Fido going to come to an agreement with Bell to let
their customers use Bell's infrastructure in the subway? I hate all
those smug Bell bastards pretending to be on the phone while they ride
the train.
Lack of Victoria coverage.29 Nov 2004 02:15 GMT5
Has anyone else noticed that 'call failed' and 'network busy' are
happening with alarming frequency?
In the past week it seems that every time that I *REALLY NEED* to use my
phone (flat tire, late for appt) fido is out for walkies.
customer retention?28 Nov 2004 03:47 GMT8
anyone have any good experiences with Fido's customer retention department?
(does it exist?)
Rogers seems to be fairly good, offering better monthly plans, or handsets
at new subscriber prices.
New Fido coverage map28 Nov 2004 03:28 GMT3

Shows the new Fido/Rogers coverage map overlaid on the Bell analogue coverage.
Interesting that the trans canada isn't fully covered west of Lake Louise to
Kamloops. Would have though that would have been done.

FIDO/Rogers MPD22 Nov 2004 19:16 GMT9
Apparently they are suffering from Multiple Personality Disorder.
I was in downtown Toronto where I expected to be on the Fido network instead
I was switched to Rogers,
Then I was out in the 'boonies' north of Brampton where I expected to be on
"SIM Card Registration Failed"22 Nov 2004 07:03 GMT3
Fired up on Nokia 3390, got the above message.
Does this mean the SIM is trashed?
Anything saving me  from calling Fido would be appreciated.
TIA & regards,
MMS to Rogers?22 Nov 2004 06:07 GMT2
With the purchase from Rogers, does anyone know if us Fido users can
now send MMS (picture messages) to Rogers customers? Or are we still
limited to Fido users?
Thanx, cheers,
Bell does not honour what it says on its website21 Nov 2004 08:42 GMT1
Funny thing happening with bell mobility and what they say on their website.
I have a cottage near the border with NY.  On the bell website it says:
. Accidental Roaming: Bell Mobility home rates also extend along upstate New
York and Michigan, for all Bell Mobility customers in the ...

Has anyone had any success using their fido dollars for accessoriy such as
HipTop 2 Beta testing in progress19 Nov 2004 01:15 GMT2
I recently acheived the incredible task of talking to someone somewhat
superior @ fido; (well actually, I didn't even speak with the guy, I got the
rep whom I was talking to to ask him a few questions); and after long
minutes of talking, I told me a little "secret" (yeah right); ...
HipTop 2 Question18 Nov 2004 06:36 GMT2
It will make a full year that I've been having fun with my first-generation
HipTop (well; obviously I'm currently not using the very first one I had...
I got to change it twice, which is half less than my previous T200 in half
the time :( ); and for a couple of months I started to ...
