In another newsgroup, I've heard that the email to SMS gateway for Rogers now, instead of sending the email to the handset, sends a notification and the user then must respond to the SMS in order to get the actual SMS. (something about accepting charges for the SMS).

Some guy at a Fido kiosk did confirm to me that Fido will start charging the 6.95 ripoff fee to CityFido customers "soon". Today, I saw a Fido add for CityFido that clearly states that the $6.95 fee is included in the $45.00 and no small print indicating that this will change.
