I am looking for a new phone, and came across a few phones online that operate in GSM 900 / 1800 bands. Will these type of mobile phones work with any of the providers here in Canada? Steve.

Maybe I am getting slow in my old age but I can't make sense of the new $15 Multi-line plan? http://www.fido.ca/portal/en/packages/monthly.shtml#multilinepackage It says it can be used with any plan over $20 including city-fido.

I currently use a Nokia 3390 but require a phone that receives a better signal as I live in an apartment with many "black out" spots. This POS is going to take me to my grave (I've already dug its) if I keep the thing, so I'm thinking that replacing it with another phone
