Is it possible to make long distance direct calls with Fido's prepaid
service?

I recently took Fido up on their offer of extending my City Fido contract
for two years.  This locked me into the original $40 rate plus they sent me
a new phone as well.
I thought that was very fair, but what they didn't specifiy that the $40

I've been a fido customer for about a week and as a counscious consumer I
try to find out as much as I can about the details of their charging system.
So I'm passing by one of their authorised retailers and I figure "Heck,
these guys must know what they're talking about, ...

I have a newbie question about unlocked phones.  If I buy one, can I simpl
take the SIM from my (very old) Fido Nokia 5190 (which I still use, and yes
I am a bit embarassed about that) and put it into any unlocked phone an
start using it?  Even if the unlocked phone is not Nokia?  ...

My phones' batteries were both dying so I popped my SIM into a
friend's Motorola V60i.  A few days later I popped the SIM back into
my phone, but I found all my SMSs were gone except for the two I had
received during the previous couple of days.  A number of SMSs that

I'm in the market for a Bluetooth and Qwerty keyboard equipped phone. I'm

So I pickup my phone (pre-paid) this morning to make a call and instead of
"Fido" it says "CAN 72"!  I can still make calls no problem.  Does this mean
that I can now use Roger's network too?  Did it pick a Roger's tower because
