Which provider (if any) has the cheapest  prepaid service?  I hate these
short refill cycles with Fido. We use our cell maybe 10mins a week so NO
monthly plan is suitable for us.

Will FIDO ever swith its voicemail metheod from a text msg "that sometimes
get delivered hours late"  to Rogers method of using the message waiting
indicator on one's phone.

about three months ago and now again more recently I have been encountering
the following problem.
After entering a number and pressing "send" I am unable to hear anything
until five to ten seconds later. Sometimes the audio comes in part way

A year after Rogers taking over Fido, it seems that Fido is still alive
and even kicking. Heard that they are still getting lots of new
activations and even opening new Fido kiosks in Canada.  Rogers is still
advertising the FIDO brand on TV.

I just bought an unlocked Motorola V551 which had been previously locked to
Rogers Wireless.  Since the WAP and internet settings are still set to the
Rogers defaults, I need to change them so the phone's features work with
Fido.  According to the manual, there seem to be menu ...

Over the last little while, my M55 seems to have randomly changes its
time zone. I notice when the time disply shjows some time that can't
possibly be right, and when I go to the setting, I find that I've move
to some distance city in the world.

I used to be able to use my fido gprs phone to establish a connection
to our corporate vpn.
After the merger with rogers and me updating my plan to the 50 dollar
unlimited data usage, I cannot connect to the vpn server any longer.

I tried to connect to FIDO's wap site over the past 2 nights, and it has
been down. Didn't try during the day. Yesterday, GPRS was down for a
while, so when I got back in, I concluded that the WAP site being down
was due to maintenance. But it is still down now.
