Try to send email from my Fido in wee hours of morning. Failed. Checked that "grps.fido.ca" is still the valid outgoing smtp server and it is according to http://www.fido.ca/portal/en/support/internet.shtml#six
The nice people at Fido now admit they are changing their web platform and broke the current gprs.fido.ca for smtp mail outbound. They are in no hurry to fix, suggesting it might be up again somewhere between 16Feb and 6Mar.
Anyone get one of these letters from Fido? http://pix.mcleodnet.com/fido-letter.pdf Is it just free calling between Fido and Rogers subscribers for a few months or are they trying to con me into something that I don't want/need?
