Phone dead after battery left to drain?30 Sep 2003 20:03 GMT2
I left my Motorola T191 on, so that the battery would be drained /
recharged. But now, when I put the phone on the charger, I don't see
anything on the screen. Could someone please suggest what the problem
is? The charger seems to be ok because I tried another charger with

I would like to be able to receive SMS messages from a cell phone in

The friend was told by her telco provider that this is impossible.
Surely it isn't?
Unlimited Internet to Laptop with only T-Zones30 Sep 2003 06:04 GMT1
I subscribed to the $10 unlimited T-zones.  I then attempted to
connect my SonyEricsson phone via infrared port to my PC as a modem.
It worked, and I got onto the Internet at about dialup speed!
Customer Service said this shouldn't have worked, and I am supposed to

Italy.  I'll be flying into Rome and would like to know if there are
any places in the airport (Fiumicino) or in the Termini that you might

What on earth is "provisioning" ?29 Sep 2003 20:26 GMT4
I keep seeing the term "provisioning" used in cellular communications
and when working with mobile network operators. Sorry if this is a dim
question but what does "provisioning" mean in cellular parlance ?
The dictionary definition is "the act of providing something" but

TDMA to GSM... What's the difference?28 Sep 2003 23:51 GMT8
Maybe there is a FAQ somewhere out there that would help me answer several
questions....
But, in the meantime until I find such a document, I thought maybe I'd ask here.
I am with Cingular in the South-Central U.S., and would like to get a new phone.

T-Mobile customer retention program has allowed me to upgrade my phone
to a 6610 for $35 and 1 month free service.
I am interested in the T-Zones service as I have never experienced
the internet on a cell phone before. I read a review on amazon.com

But can I go the other way?
SIM address book size limit27 Sep 2003 10:55 GMT2
Is there a reason why an address book file on a SIM card is limited to
250 addresses? I have a 128K SIM, and my address book is divided into
4 files (4 address books) each with a limit of 250 address entries. I
would like to understand why this is so.

Motorola P280 rave and questions23 Sep 2003 09:13 GMT6
Thanks to all who recommended the Motorola P280 for its RF and audio
quality (especially Doug).  I just bought one through Ebay and it's
great!!!   It can hold a solid connection where my SE T300 either
wouldn't connect at all or broke up constantly.
