undeleting SMSs and/or phone numbers off a GSM SIM?14 Mar 2004 20:58 GMT1
I have a SIM on the Fido GSM network in Canada.  Are there any
phones/computer tools I can use to undelete an SMS or a phone
directory entry?  Does it depend on the make/model of SIM, or does GSM
overwrite the data with null bytes, or something, rather than just
Your GSM emits Morse code ?14 Mar 2004 00:36 GMT1
I would like to know what GSM emit some sounds in Morse code (CW).
I know for example that in some Nokia GSM sold since the mid '90s (3410,
6310i, 6210 series, etc), the ringing is in fact the letter V emitted in
Morse code while others send "connecting people" and "SMS" in CW.

Samsung R225m versus X10511 Mar 2004 06:08 GMT2
I'm planning to switch my wife's ATTWS account to T-Mobile and put her
phone and mine on T-Mo's Family Time Basic.  My wife is profoundly
anti-gadget and must have a phone that's easy to use.  Of the
free/cheap phones that T-Mo offers, I've disqualified the Nokia 3595

In Austria, I will be exclusively in Vienna.  In Poland, I will be
T720i Phonebook issue09 Mar 2004 12:32 GMT2
For some reason my network switch sometimes adds a +1(areacode) prefix
on incoming calls and always on incoming text.  Because of this the
phone doesn't match the caller with the entry in my phone book and
display the name, since it seems to be trying to match the entire

Going to Buenos Aires (also may have a brief stop in Iguazu and in Colonia

Question:
Can someone tell me with factual support for their answer, if a GSM quad
band cell phone enters into a CDMA only network service area, will the GSM
cell phone be able to roam on the CDMA network?  Or will there simply be no
