| New SIM card, older phones issue | 17 Aug 2004 15:16 GMT | 1 |
Ive got a working SIM, T-Mobile PAYG, which I'd rather not change. It functions perfectly in my 8310. Putting the SIM in either my 6210 or 7110 gives the message "Insert SIM card" on *either* phone - theres no message about the phone being locked to a particular network, it just

| 6600, bluetooth, large file transfers | 17 Aug 2004 13:48 GMT | 15 |
I have a 6600, with firmware v. 4.09.1. I can send files from my PC with Right click > send > bluetooth. But when I send large files (> 300KB), the transfer always hangs somewhere along the way.

| Nasty bug in 6210e: multi-SMS messages inaccessible | 17 Aug 2004 13:47 GMT | 2 |
I have a 6210e unlocked thru software which is now running a T-Mobile SIM card. When I receive multi-SMS (ie messages > 160 chars), they come in as separate messages and I can only access the first one. Needless to say, this is really annoying.

| 7250i - Complete hard reset? | 17 Aug 2004 12:02 GMT | 1 |
I'm selling my old 7250i on eBay, and was wondering if there's any way to erase everything from the phone. I've tried "Restore factory defaults" but that leaves all calendar, phone book, and service setting entries. In the past I've been able to either enter *#7370# (I think) which ...

| When is a phone not a phone? (rant) | 17 Aug 2004 02:12 GMT | 63 |
Quick straw poll. Is it possible that I am the only person still alive to think a phone should be a phone? I mean, what's with all these "toys" Nokia seem to be pushing into the market and everyone in this newsgroup seems to be getting so excited

| Nokia 6230 headset & SMS alert oddity | 17 Aug 2004 00:27 GMT | 3 |
I've got a 6230, firmware 3.15, on Vodafone UK. Short battey life apart, it's a nice phone but there is one thing that's driving me nuts and I'm not sure if it's a bug, a feature, or just something I can't work out how to change:

| Re: 6230 or 7610? | 16 Aug 2004 16:36 GMT | 2 |
I'm getting a new phone in next few days and have narrowed it down to 2 the Nokia 6230 or the Nokia 7610! I can't decide between them the 6230 has the appeal of an MP3 player but have read a few poor reviews about build and sound quality?

Am I correct in thinking the new Nokia 7610 does not have a built in radio?

| A standard SMS protocol for Nokia 3510i? | 16 Aug 2004 09:20 GMT | 2 |
Okay, here's the problem. I've been searching, and found out that it's either GSM or SNPP, the name doesn't matter though. Anyway, I have unfortunately not been able to find a list of the characters, that you can use with this standard SMS protocol, so I was wondering, if

I think its been posted before that there was a problem with this combo because of software issues with the 6600. Someone mentioned that when paired: 1. The damn phone won't ring.
