I've always used Lame VBR encoded MP3's, but find that even with a 512MB MMC
I don't get as many tracks as I would like (only managing around 40-50).
Anyway, I've been experimenting with the Nero AAC encoder and find that a
much lower CBR 128 or 160kbps, I can get as good a result ...

had a 6100 and got rid of operator logo using oxygen - using bluetooth with
a 6230 now. oxygen connects then disconnects so resolved to use pc suite. if
if creata a transparent image and give it extension .gif can not use as logo
as i have seen posted about. do i save as .logo or ...

The Nokia 6260is triband, however, my understanding is that there are 4 main
bands is use, 3 in Europe(900/1800/1900) and 3 in USA(850/1800/1900)
Does this mean that an American 6260 is a different beast to a Eurpoean one?
Or can you choose which of the 3 bands it auto-selects ...

Does anyone know if you can still buy a New Nokia 6310i without a contract
in the UK, if so where.

On a Nokia phone, where's the option to control how long keypad tones
are sent for, as in for sending voice mail access strings?  My Nokia
6820 sends each tone for 1 second I think. Maybe it's really .75
seconds, but whatever, it is SLOW to dial in access codes.  I remember

Since installing a new monitor, the IRDA taskbar icon no longer appears in
the system tray when I connect my 6230 via infra red.
Neither does the wireless link icon appear on the desktop...
Nor do the connect and disconnect sounds occur...

which nokia models have zoom funtion. e.g. when taking a camara picture,
NOT after the shot.
the phone must be as small as 7250.

I use my Nokia Tetra terminal to access a voicemail account. At the moment,
I dial the number which is stored in Contacts, the voicemail 'answers' and
then I have to input (using the keypad) my voicemail box number, the
voicemail then prompts me to key in a password.

I recently messed up my NGage PC Suite install, and when I pulled out
my old CD for my NGage the CD was cracked!  I have gone to the NGage
website but they only have the PC Suite for the new QD NGage on their.
