Sprint holiday list27 Nov 2003 23:59 GMT2
Old usenet posts tend to imply that holidays don't exist as far as
off-peak billing goes.  Is this indeed the case?  There will still be
peak hours at 7:01AM this morning?
Dialer hears several rings before my phone rings27 Nov 2003 16:05 GMT4
I have an issue with my cell phone.  A person dialing will hear 3 rings
before my phone rings for the first time.  Is there a way to correct this?
various rebates on Amazon27 Nov 2003 15:45 GMT2
I'm an existing Sprint PCS customer, with a one year service agreement
that expires in July next year.
I am interesting in getting a Samsung i500 phone. I noticed that
Amazon has some big discounts - you can get $200 off from them, plus
Phone for Christmas27 Nov 2003 04:36 GMT3
I've got the family plan and my college age daughter wants a new phone
for Christmas.  She likes "bells and whistles", likes color screen
(forget upgrading to Vision), blinking light, games, vibrate and speaker
phone.
Picture Security26 Nov 2003 18:49 GMT2
I  bought a Treo600 from eBay that looks to have been a Sprint
employee's phone.  I can tell this by the web pictures I can access
from the phone and can forward to anybody.  This is no big deal to me,
but since I view but not change the account info for the picture web

Has anyone successfully switched their numbers?26 Nov 2003 16:15 GMT1
I'm just curious to see if anyone has switched carriers while keeping
their number, and what problems were encountered, if any.
Vga 1000 flip open sound and back button sound missing or corrupt26 Nov 2003 13:28 GMT1
Hello...
I bought 2 vga 1000's -- on one of them, the flip open option
plays the sound correctly as well as the little noise when you hit the
"back" button.  Now on the other phone, neither sound will play.
contracts26 Nov 2003 13:00 GMT6
I've been with SpritnPCS for a long time.  Since "120 minutes for
$30".
To take advantage of unlimted nights and weekends I took a contract.
Can't remember the length, it was either 1 or 2 years.
Receiving calls after power on of phone26 Nov 2003 06:47 GMT8
I am a new Sprint customer, still on the trial period.  I have a Sanyo
8100 and when I power it up it doesn't receive calls. All incoming
calls rollover to voicemail, then I get a voice mail notification.
Once I place a call, or sometimes two calls, then everything becomes
Coverage In Southern Nevada26 Nov 2003 03:10 GMT5
Does anyone in the newsgroup know of any new towers/coverage for southern
Nevada?  I was hoping that someone works for Sprint that can give me this
information.  Also is there any plans in the work to entend US 95 from southern
Nevada to Northern Nevada with coverage?
SprintPCS no longer low priced leader  ??26 Nov 2003 02:19 GMT31
AT&T, Cingular, and TMobile now all have plans where a family can have 2 phones
sharing 500 or more anytime minutes for $49.99/month, and $10/month or less for
each additonal phone.
The lowest price SprintPCS plan is a pre-WLNP plan at $35 for 300 minutes, and
Vision enabled phones; Older Models share High Speeds with Laptop?25 Nov 2003 23:11 GMT19
Just got off the phone with a rep who mentioned that ALL NEW Vision
enabled phones are unable to connect laptop at the higher speeds
avalable to the phone; 14.4kbps is all I could expect UNLESS I paid
extra for special Connection Card and service (per MB use). She

Verizon Wireless, for example, is seeing two- to-four-times as many customers
in its 1,200 stores nationwide Monday than it typically does, said Jeffrey
Nelson, a company spokesman. The company is also getting three times as many
Questions on local Sprint and Vision25 Nov 2003 19:21 GMT1
I am thinking of switching to the extended local calling area plan and am a
bit confused.
1.  What would happen if I use Vision when I travel out of the extended
calling area - I know you do pay extra per minute if you make a regular
