Ripped off on Prepaid phones24 Dec 2003 11:49 GMT2
I bought two Sprint PCS prepaid phones a while back.  I paid over $120
each.  I moved out of the area that they pick up so I let my service
cancel.  Now that I'm back in an area that they pick up the company
won't activate them!  They claim they stopped activating prepaid
Tower maps coming back24 Dec 2003 11:47 GMT13
It appears that they are finally working on bringing back the tower
maps. The main page now loads instead of the coming soon message. But
I'm getting a page not found error when I try to click on any region.
Anyone else? Maybe they will get them up soon.

Guess I'm not leaving Sprint after all...23 Dec 2003 23:41 GMT3
SPCS offered no phones with Bluetooth, and appeared to cancel the
relationship with Sony/Ericsson, so our plan was to go to TMobile and get a
free S/E T610 plus Jabra Bluetooth earbud. Of course, there would be a
number transfer, etc. Today the T608 BT phone was released. Reviewing ...
No unlimited vision plan w/t608??23 Dec 2003 19:19 GMT7
Is this true--does this mean I have to give up my $10 unlimited Vision
if I want to switch to this phone?
Anyone else having problems porting a number out of SprintPCS to T-Mobile?23 Dec 2003 19:15 GMT14
I submitted a request to transfer my two Sprint numbers to my two
T-Mobile phones on Monday, Nov. 24. Over a week later, it still hasn't
gone through.
After a lot of calls (>1 hour on hold) it finally got escalated at
Limited to 160 characters on text fields (New VGA1000)23 Dec 2003 18:04 GMT2
I replaced my LG5350 with the VGA1000 yesterday.  I like the new
phone, but I'm fighting two problems that the LG didn't have.  One is
the lack of Hotmail, I can put up with that.  The serious problem
seems to be a 160 character limit on text input fields.  This is not a
Domains for emailing cellphones?23 Dec 2003 15:35 GMT17
I know that you can email a txt message directly to a SprintPCS phone
by sending it to <SPCS #>@messaging.sprintpcs.com and to an AT&T phone
by emailing <AT&T #>@messaging.att.com.
What about for the other carriers?

Had Enough: Finally Pulling VZW's Plug23 Dec 2003 14:19 GMT39
As most of you in this newsgroup know, for the last year and a half I have
been a very loyal fan of VZW. As of the last couple months, service
quality has deteriorated to the point the service is virtually unusable
over 50% of the time here in the northern side of Richmond, VA. ...

1st week with Samsung VGA100023 Dec 2003 02:09 GMT8
I have now had my VGA1000 (A620) for a week now.  Overall I am extremely
happy with this phone, if it weren't for a few "issues", then this phone
would be perfect.
The biggest problem with the phone is it experiences occasional "bugs".
Donating Phones ... and a question to the SPCS employees22 Dec 2003 17:47 GMT3
Per SPCS's PR - http://tinyurl.com/2jtb3 , this is a good way to get rid of
those older phones, as with the other projects SPCS has been involved with
in supplying donated phones to women shelters ...
There comes a point where donating a phone won't do any good, as its so old,
