Tungsten E SMS w/PCS Phone07 Jan 2004 01:33 GMT2
I just bought my wife a Tungsten E PDA.  It has an option for SMS through
mobile phones.  I didn't see any current Sprint models listed in the list of
phones to select as a modem.  I saw Infrared connections, Bluetooth
connections and cable connections.

if i go buy a phone tonight, can i put the battery in and turn it on and
check to see if the software is up-to-date, without harming the battery?
because otherwise i'd have to fully charge the battery and then drain it or

I signed up with my company so I got a discount, I signed a 2yr

Phone stuck in data mode!06 Jan 2004 17:06 GMT4
Every time I get a text message, I can't make a call because my phone says
I'm in data mode. I called Sprint and they had no idea what I was talking
about (I can't blame them, they're just phone jockey morons). Is this a
known issue? My phone is a Samsung camera phone(VGA100 maybe, ...
Sanyo 5300 and SnapMedia software06 Jan 2004 12:51 GMT2
I think that it was Bob who suggested SnapMedia from FutureDial to
transfer pictures from a Sanyo 5300 back to a PC.  Unfortunately,
SnapMedia only does this with the Sanyo 8100.  The 5300 does things a
bit differently and FutureDial's tech support said so in an email to
Roaming/not roaming issue06 Jan 2004 05:14 GMT4
I have a weekend house just on the fringes of Sprint PCS coverage in CT.  My
phone is set to PCS only, no roaming. When I turn my 8500 on, it will search
for coverage, and then the usual "Sprint PCS" message will display.  I get
somewhere from 1 to 4 bars of signal strength.  If I ...
Warranty question06 Jan 2004 01:12 GMT5
How does sprint determine what the waranty replacement time frame is
on a phone. If say, bought a newly introduced phone on ebay, obviously
phoneis less than a year old but, if not bought directly from sprint,
what happens?
just to be sure...06 Jan 2004 00:23 GMT4

No way to input phone numbers online, then transfer to phone?06 Jan 2004 00:16 GMT14
With Voicestream 2 years ago, I was able to input my phone book
entries online then transfer them to my phone.  I just got the VI660.
Is it possible to do with Sprint?
wireless web on a vision phone?05 Jan 2004 22:53 GMT32
My plan still has wireless web and my new phone has vision.  I don't want
vision - I just want the wireless web I always had.  I set the modem up for
use with wireless web (#2932, username/password Web) but it doesn't connect.
Suggestions or comments?
