*18 really does nothing on Sprint's own network29 Feb 2004 23:59 GMT10
I have being reports on this forum and others about *18 being the code
to get you back in touch with the Sprint tower when traveling. That is
not true. New evidence has come out that says the *18 thing only works
on roaming networks and has nothing to do with Sprint's own network.

Sprint billing...29 Feb 2004 11:23 GMT17
A month and a half or so ago, I replaced a phone on my plan that had
been lost. When I activated the phone, I specifically asked if my
unlimited vision plan covered the new phone and was told that it did.
Yesterday, I recieved a bill for 75 and change for vision usage on
Treo 600 - not turning off29 Feb 2004 07:28 GMT9
Ever since I got my Treo 600, it has not been able to turn itself off
when it is charging. Even though, I have the setting "turn off after 1
minute", it stays on all night when I have it plugged in and charging!
It will NOT turn off when it's plugged in. I don't know if some

Can't send text message to 2G phones28 Feb 2004 15:52 GMT1
I have a Sanyo VM4500 and tried sending a text message from within the phone
to an older 2G phone.  It seems ONLY vision capable phones can receive these
messages.
So, can I?28 Feb 2004 11:44 GMT1
So now that I've already whined about this, maybe there is a some method for
uploading/downloading my own formatted music (that's legally purchased with
my own American $s folks, so let's not get into that discussion please!)  to
my phone?
Sprint walkie-talkie service?28 Feb 2004 00:07 GMT10
A Sprint rep told me today that they are now offering the nationwide
walkie-talkie service, like Nextel, but that in order to use it, I would
have to get a new phone.
This was a total surprise to me. I can't find anything about this service on
Free QCP Site27 Feb 2004 20:19 GMT4
Hi, I'm a new member of this forum. I wanted to let you all know that
run a 100% free ringtone site. I promise it's free, no ads even. Th
site is really only for Sprint users because all the ringtones are QCP
(QCP is the format for the sound files that Sprint Phones use). Ther
Is there really a market for this?27 Feb 2004 17:42 GMT8
Are people really downloading song snippets for their phone at $2.50 a pop?
If so, I'd say there is nothing wrong with our economy if people ar willing
to give their money away.
Let's see... and entire song download from Napster for 0.99, or a fraction

My contract expires this month and I'm not ready to make the move to a new
carrier yet. Will I just go to a month to month?

Hello Group -
I've been a spcs customer for about 5 years. Recently I purchased a
Sanyo 8100 (based on the things I've read here - and appreciate the
discussion - very good phone). I renewed my agreement and added vision
