Renew Annual Contract 22 Apr 2004 04:10 GMT3
I am out of contract for a while.  Following the FAQ, I called Rentention
and asked for credit toward a new phone.  They told me the only thing
available is the rebate offer for existing customer that requires a plan of
$35 and more.  I am on the $30 plan offered in Dec 2002.  Am I ...

said. "I think Sprint was second in line and the rest went to the
How is coverage in San Diego/La Jolla21 Apr 2004 22:06 GMT10
I'm on my way out there in a few hours and the archive
comments on this are a bit dated.
Can anyone let me know how coverage is in the area these days?
    Thanks very much! DGI
A500 replacement....21 Apr 2004 20:48 GMT11
I love my A500 (size, sound quality, case is resistant to scratching, NO
camera), but I've just recently moved to a fringe area of coverage in Las
Vegas, and I'm dropping calls all the time.  Since I use this phone for
business, dropping calls is not an option.
PRL 10023 contents posted21 Apr 2004 15:45 GMT13
I was just browsing in alt.cellular.verizon and came across two postings
from March 25, 2004 with the contents of Sprint PCS PRL 10023 and
Verizon PRL 50154.  Someone has posted here previously asking about the
contents of the SPCS PRL, so here's how to see it.
MSN Mobile alerts21 Apr 2004 14:00 GMT6
At work, I have a RL2000 that is activated on the Austin CSA. Seems the
previous owner of this number signed up for a number of MSN alerts. We
get over a dozen alerts a day. I don't want to pester people at our
corporate offices over something silly like this, but I'd like it all ...
Churn Calculation21 Apr 2004 11:30 GMT8
In case anyone out there wants to try to say that the monthly CHURN
numbers reported quarterly are quarterly numbers, let me show you the
numbers.
2.9% MONTHLY CHURN * 3 = 8.7% Quarterly CHURN
Online coverage maps updated21 Apr 2004 06:01 GMT15
After about a year with no updates the online maps have finally been
updated. For example they now show the new coverage in Kansas along
Hwy 54 West of Witchita. They also show the new coverage along I-5 in
San Diego in the Camp Pendelton area. There is also some new planned

Multiple identities?-Big friggin deal21 Apr 2004 05:14 GMT1
Does it really matter?  Who cares except Bob Smith!
Why don't we all start doing just that just to see
old geezer BS get his undies in a wrinkle.

Nokia 3588i impressions?21 Apr 2004 02:04 GMT12
I recently added a new line of service on my account and opted for the
Nokia 3588i because I did not need any Vision bells and whistles on the
secondary line.  What is the overall opinion of this phone?  Does it
hold a signal well?  Is it reliable as far as sms text messaging goes?
Retention Plan Faq20 Apr 2004 20:34 GMT58
This FAQ is in no way authored by Sprint Spectrum, Sprint or Sprint PCS
unless otherwise expressly noted. By reading on, you agree that you are
fully aware of this. I see many questions asked repeatedly about rate
plans, and thought an "Unofficial Retention FAQ" was in order. I ...
Executive Services20 Apr 2004 18:27 GMT45
I've been on the NG for some time, but I have to ask - what's the deal
with Executive Services? I've not learned much about it. One person will
throw it out there (a lot) and another will freak out...
What's the deal?
Can you use a VGA1000 as a modem without using VISION?20 Apr 2004 18:12 GMT2
I am not planning on keeping VISION, but would like to use the phone
as a modem.  Speed does not matter, since it would be very light
occasional use.
Can you use a VGA1000 as a modem without using VISION?  If so, how?
