Replacing A Sanyo 490014 Jun 2004 16:37 GMT2
I currently have a Sanyo 4900 on a one year plan that has been renewed once
so far and I am looking to replace it with a flip phone.  My usage is voice
only with no desire for pictures, ReadyLink, or other bells and whistles.  I
was thinking of a Motorola V60 at renewal time but ...

So I went to SprintPCS.com today to check on my account,
and it required I create a new more "SECURE", "STRONG" password.

SprintPCS.com requiring new password13 Jun 2004 18:26 GMT1
I tried to access my PCS online account today, and found that I had to
submit a new password.  My old password, that I use for dozens of other
things, no longer conforms to their password rules:
---must be at least 6 characters
New Plans: Fair & Flexible13 Jun 2004 18:00 GMT1
I saw an ad on TV last night for the new Fair&Flexible plan, which might
work for those that have fluctuating usage from month to month.  For myself,
I noted that it would cost $15 more($65) if I used my full normal allotment
of 600 minutes for $50.

Is there some way to upload a "specific" pic onto a phone from a computer? I've
tried accessing yahoo on my phone to get briefcase stuff. Is it possible to
open a picture using the URL? Then saving it in picture wallet?

Despite any corporate indications to the contrary, there is -- and
actually has been for over two years -- native Sprint PCS footprint in
Alaska.  See the TinyURL below for links to PDF maps demonstrating the
geographically concentrated SPCS coverage in Anchorage, Fairbanks, &

A friends phone is acting up intermittently.  For no apparent reason it just
shuts down.  As far as she can remember it only happens when being powered
by the battery.
She doesn't use the phone while attached to a charger often, but she cannot

More 8200/a620...What use is the Speakerphone??12 Jun 2004 14:57 GMT4
The 8200 is not a bad phone, but I chose it specifically because I had
bad experiences with my Samsung a460. plus it seemed that Sanyo's were
rated better in this group.
Has Samsung improved their phones??  Is the a620's reception better?
Mail in rebate form... anybody get it?12 Jun 2004 05:57 GMT2
Purchased Sanyo 8200 blue on-line as the Sprint stores near me had none.  I
was supposed to get the mail in rebate, and phone delivery was delayed
awaiting the out of stock rebate form.  I called back the sales rep and said
deliver the phone and when the forms come in, mail it to me ...

I logged onto the Sprint PCS website today for the first time in quite

is now offering an incentive to sign up for auto Bill Pay and paperless
billing.  Up to a $10 service credit ... $5 for signing up for ...
