I would like to backup the phonebook on Samsung VGA1000. I noticed on another post a note about Bitpim, then went to the site and downloaded the latest version; also downloaded drivers from Futuredial site. The Bitpim site listed the VGA1000 as a supported phone.

Since this phone does gsm in europe, could you then buy it and put a cingular or t-mobile sim in to operate it? Capt.
