| Sprint being hacked!!! | 28 Feb 2006 20:46 GMT | 12 |
I just received an automated message from a female synthesized voice claiming to be a sprint representative. This robotic voice informed me that my Sprint account was overdrawn and my phone service was about to end. I was then instructed to enter my credit card number!

| Buying a new phone from Sprint vs. others | 25 Feb 2006 17:54 GMT | 9 |
I'm going to upgrade my phone sometimes soon, and am wondering if it matters who I get the replacement from. I was told by Sprint that if I get it from Sprint store or Sprint web page, or RadioShack, the $150 upgrade credit is instant, versus a bill credit with all others

| PPC6700 / VX6700 - which carrier to use??? | 22 Feb 2006 23:06 GMT | 1 |
I'd really like to get a new Pocket PC 6700, but am unsure on which carrier to go with to get service for it. I have been a long-time VZW user, but Sprint's monthly charges look awfully appealing:

Does Sprint display the *name* of incoming calls on their Caller ID in addition to the phone number, even if that particular number is not stored in that phone's phone book??? i.e. just like landline based Caller ID with Name?

| Are Sprint PCS Calls Encrypted? | 21 Feb 2006 13:23 GMT | 35 |
I'm transferring to Sprint from an old TDMA plan that I had with AT&T Wireless, before Cingular bought it out. Just wondering if CDMA calls are encrypted. Is it possible for casual eavesdroppers to monitor Sprint calls?

| Treo 650 as a modem? | 20 Feb 2006 16:36 GMT | 1 |
I'm sure this has been asked before, but can the Treo 650 be used as a modem through Sprint? I have a sprint phone now that works great as a modem through my laptop, but I'd like to upgrade to the Treo, but I don't want to lose the modem/laptop capability.
