phone is a 5 year old single-band TP-1100, and have never had
experience with roaming in the US.  (it does roam in Canada :-)
I'm considering now whether to stay with Sprint or to move to Verizon.

plus a Data Plan. The rep on the phone said no problem, and have I

Katana users:  Please confirm that DUN with cable works

I know it is only 1XRTT but I'm not interested with EVDO
yet, and I believe EVDO DUN is expensive.

competitors.
I currently have a Cingular cell (old AT&T) and a Sprint cell phone.

it has lasted about 4-5 years.
