I'm on the Orange Data Tariff, which has inclusive Orange care. I've just
received a letter from Orange telling me that my free 12 months Orange care
is coming to an end, and that it'll soon cost me £5 a month.

I'm trying to connect my laptop to clara.net using my phone as a modem
and orange jt sim - I just require dialup via 0845 - OCS tell me it's
10p per min offpeak (and a bit less if I pay £50 in advance).
However OCS also tell me data calls are not possible on  Orange JT.

Is it possible to port your old mobile number from say orange, to O2,
after taking a phone out on contract on o2 approx 5 days ago?

We've just received our phones today via special post. Mine works fine
and will let me dial any number including orange. My girlfriends phone
does not allow her to dial any number (the following message is played
"Calls from the numer are barred")

We have 2 Seimens phones on Orange PAYG. The reception is good most of the
time except in our own home. Downstairs front room is no good, Kitchen at
back of the house is no good, conservatory at the back of the house is OK
