I have a SE P900 on Vodafone but it has the 02 welcome message as I changed
the sims over from my wife's phone.
Is it possible to remove the 02 message?
Also I used to get a 'notification of delivery' for text messages with my
p90025 Feb 2004 09:03 GMT4
Seems that my new Sony Ericsson P900 has been supplied  unlocked by
Vodafone. No external badging either but the usual clutter of wap links etc
is present. Their 'Vodafone Live' handsets are usually sim-locked so this
has been a nice suprise :-)
P900 & similar 'smartphones' .. good buy given Symbians uncertainty ?25 Feb 2004 08:58 GMT20
As many of you will know, Symbian founder Psion seems to be selling
off its stake in the platform to Nokia (who are already quite a major
stake holder in the group), making them the majority interest.
With little or no choice for a platform for some manufacturers, do you

I had one of these on Orange and set up the phone lock code so that
you had to type it in when the phone turned on. I have since sold the
phone and the person who bought it says the phone lock number won't
work with his SIM. Is this number locked to my SIM and I need to put

Is there such thing as a "granny phone" ?
I know 3 senior citizens who need a phone, but can't use mobile phones
because they are too complicated and/or the buttons are too small. I
am looking for a phone which is absolutely huge - the buttons could be
E700 v Nokia operation25 Feb 2004 01:57 GMT1
My wife has wanted a Samsung E700 for ages.
She's ALWAYS used Nokias and had 'mobile rage' trying to get used to a T610
I bought her - bad move. She went back to her beloved 8310, but still wants
a E700 (she's never even had a clamshell phone).
Virgin Mobile website displaying Online billing of another user.25 Feb 2004 01:40 GMT2
Thought you might find this interesting. It looks like Virgin Mobile are
having a few teething problems with their online billing. Virgin mobile

Phones with Modems25 Feb 2004 01:09 GMT11
I'm looking for a cheapskate way to provide occasional web access from
my notebook via a mobile phone. Googling leads me to believe I should
use a geo number such as Clara's on my FT750 for off-peak and on my
YP120 for any peak usage I may need (at least until I switch it to
HLR and SIM number25 Feb 2004 00:17 GMT12
I'm curious why it is people think that your SIM number can be used to
determine which HLR you are on with Orange, and on what basis people have
for thinking this way.
Here is my way of thinking.  Network x buys an HLR from supplier y.  The
