Can anyone help me with this phone query?04 Apr 2004 23:13 GMT5
Bit of a strange one this (for me anyway) - in relation to number/name
(caller ID in effect) coming up on mobile when someone phones.
All numbers/names pop up on my Nokia 3100 when the relevant person phones
me - except one!?!?!?! My wife's mobile number (both of us are on Orange)

T-mobile I understand have a data plan but they deny it and carphone

warehouse site.  Cannot see anything on the t-mobile site as it is a load of
crap and their search engine and faq is the pits.  I am on a ...

It's just that I want to stay on the right side of the law but would
Nokia 6230 - finally released.04 Apr 2004 20:11 GMT13
Well, it's out in Switzerland anyway.  Just picked one up at the local
'Media Markt' which is the equivalent of Dixons, for 600CHF (255
pounds sterling, 385 Euro) without contract.
Size is pretty much the same as a T610.  It's excellently

unlocking phones (O2 Philips Savvy)04 Apr 2004 13:55 GMT3
OK, it's an old phone and my kids would be embarrased by it.
At the local car boot, a guy was unloclocking phones for 5 quid.
I need to use a Taiwan SIM in Taiwan.
The guy stated Philips Savvy was not so easy for him. He would have to
VIRGIN MOBILE: Special codes and features04 Apr 2004 13:34 GMT7
I have tried to google around special codes for Virgin mobile (like

found was a dead link ( http://www.wossname.com/vmfaq.txt ). Anybody can
help, please?

Very old phones03 Apr 2004 19:44 GMT12
Can all you old-mobile people here cast your minds back to around 1993-4?
I remember a colleague had a really old Ericsson phone, about the size of
the modern T610 - except it had the usual Ericsson external arial.
I'm trying to find out the model number or even find a link to a ...

Can I send text messages from Orange PAYG in the UK to phones in
France and the US?  Or perhaps I should say, if I send them, will
they arrive?  :-)     In particular, I would be sending to AT&T
in the US and to Bouygues (Carte Nomad) in France.  It would also
