I just got my CPW cheques today (two for me and two for my partner) and immediately rang Orange to change down to the High Speed Data tariff. I decided to make separate calls to Customer Services for each phone.

Now that I have my cheque from CPW I want to change to a cheaper tariff. What can I change to and what do you recommend? I average about 30mins and a dozen texts a month. Having said that the 30mins would come down a little if I was paying for each call.

I have a spare phone I want to give to my sister but it requires a sim. As a don't want to set up a contract for her, can I just go into a shop and get a pay as you go sim? If the answer is yes, do all the networks provide this?

Thoise noe wprices for BT extra phone services from 1st May seem a big jump to me. Call Minder will be £2.50 per month. Choose to Refuse will be £3.35 per month.
