8210 turns itself off28 May 2004 09:53 GMT3
Any pointers please?  My 8210 has started just switching off during calls,
no warning bleeps or anything, just off.  The battery is recent (last
Xmas),standby lasts  a week, so I think that should be ok.  I haven't played
with the software or anything else in the recent past.  I did ...
Moto E365, Sagex MyX-7 or Nokia 7250i?28 May 2004 09:39 GMT2
I have been getting less and less impressed with Nokias so rather
than just go out and get myself a Nokia 7250i, I'm also considering
the Moto E365 or the Sagen MyX-7.
I used to hate Motos but the E365 has a nice screen and some
Anyone know any 3G-specific newsgroups?28 May 2004 09:29 GMT6
Could somebody recommend a highly active 3G-specific newsgroup and/or

worldwide would be fine.
Thanks so much to anyone who can help.

BTY emails via WAP28 May 2004 07:48 GMT3
Can BT Yahoo emails be accessed by a WAP-enabled mobile?  When I try via the
old BTI URLs wap.btinternet.com or wapmail.btinternet.com, I now get the
message "Login failed" even though I know the user/pass are correct. I have
a SE T610 on Orange.
Nokia 5210 + Orange28 May 2004 07:16 GMT8
Just bought a Nok 5210 off eBay - advertised as unlocked and I confirmed
this by running through a DCT4 unlock.
Card accepts the sim card fine (i.e. access to phone book, messages etc.)
but it comes up with SIM card registration failed.

What's the cheapest tariff with free 0800?28 May 2004 01:19 GMT3
I'm looking for the cheapest mobile tariff with 0800 numbers free.
So far the cheapest I've found is High Speed Data on Orange at
£10/month. The other alternative is to find a secondhand Everday 50
sim card on Line 2 with OVP Virgin on Line 1 but that'll probably cost
Orange 120min/30txt28 May 2004 01:16 GMT11
I'm currently on ED50 with an SPV. ED50 doesnt really suit my usage anymore
so I would like to change. I want to stay with Orange, I've been with them
for years and am happy with the service. Looking on the Orange website they

Orange missed call alert27 May 2004 23:29 GMT4
A mate was showing me the 'Missed Calls Alert" feature on his Orange
phone yesterday. For those that don't know Orange text you the number of
anyone (if not witheld) who's called you while the phone's off or out of
coverage. It DID seem a bit pointless being texted, by Orange, ...
