My girlfriend's stuck with her Orange PAYG in the middle of nowhere
with hardly any credit, so I do the decent thing - I'm in Tesco's so I
pick up a swipe card and try to register it to add a fiver for her.
Instructions say dial 450 or 07973 100 450. Both these numbers are

Been looking for a cheap way to connect to the net with my laptop when i'm
out and about in the motorhome,
Some people have recomended the T-mobile communication centre, with the gprs
unlimited package thingy, saying it costs £11.95 plus vat a month for upto

does anyone know if the Palm Treo 600 would be compatible as a GPS system
when using the NMEA maps from MS Autoroute.
I'm with orange and dont know if it's compatible or need to sign up with a
GPS service or if it does it automatically.

My v600 is being sent off today for them to have a look at the crack on the
front fascia.  I have spoken to trading standards in anticipation of them
saying that I caused the damage, which I didn't.  Trading standards have
advised that if the phone is less than 6 months old it is up ...

On UK networks if you have voicemail deposits are you notified by SMS
or is the "tape reel" icon on your handset activated?  If you get an
SMS alerting you to VM does the SMS say what number left the VM or
does it just say that you have a VM waiting?

Mate had his phone unlocked by clip and now when it's started it comes
up with 'Phone Start Up Failed-Please Contact the retailer’ My local
Nokia Service Center can't do it ?

Sometime ago there was a post in this group concerning a service offered
to people who have Orange ED50 and similar tarrifs. Whereby they could
dial a number and accrue minutes of an evening. The accrued minutes
could then be used throughout the day for crossnetwork and landline

I had a missed call on my mobile the other day, so I called it back. A
female voice/computerised said "you have dailed telephone number
07xxxxxxxx, please wait while we connect you" then clasical music
played.

Can any one tell me how/if you can reset a P900 back to standard reason is I
bought one second hand and there is a lot of numbers/rubbish from the last
owner and it takes a long time deleting each one individually

Has anyone else tried to upgrade to a Nokia 6230 on an o2 online tarrif?
Last week I called and was told that as I currently pay £20/month I could
either buy the phone for £129.99 and keep my current contract @ £20 a month
or change to £30 a month and get a free phone.

Anyone know the remote unlocking code for this.  Phone is on Virgin network,
and I could ring Virgin, but you know what it's like talking to them.

I'm about to replace my Z600 with a K700, prefer it Sim Free but since its
brand new i cant find it much less than £315 .
O2 have it on Online Offpeak 300 (£20pm) + the phone for £30 which over the
year makes the total cost £270. Not bad for a new phone.

Is MMS a mess in the UK? Different platforms, expensive, lack of user
uptake, etc? Has the whole 3G train run completely off the rails with,
seemingly, the telecos having little idea how to get it back on?
