These BT mobile deals & cable customers22 Jun 2004 20:57 GMT8
I've been looking at these BT Telecom deals and from what I gather, they're
only open to people who have BT Telecom landlines. Is that so and is there
any way around this?
I'm a Blueyonder customer so I've a feeling I won't be accepted.
Bad move?22 Jun 2004 20:52 GMT13
Yesterday I purchased a Sagem my-V65 mobile telephone for my daughter.
Unfortunately, I wasn't thinking to clearly and ended up purchasing it
with a Vodaphone pay as you go scheme.
I really want O2, since this is what all her friends and family use.
Memorable Number - Choosing One?22 Jun 2004 20:50 GMT4
Looking for a new phone/contract with a memorable number. Do any of the
networks let you browse/choose a memorable number online before comitting to
buying the phone? I wouldn't want to complete the deal and then find that
all their memorable numbers are crap.

Screen contrast 821022 Jun 2004 20:29 GMT3
I have a data cable for my 8210 nokia.  Please can someone tell me which
program can be used to adjust screen contrast.  I find the standard screen
hard to read (old age, presbyopia)  I have  looked at Logomanager, but that
doesn't appear to do it.
Logomanager & 623022 Jun 2004 20:17 GMT5
The website claims these work together, but I can't seem to make it
happen?
I'm using 1.3.0, and notice that 1.3.2 is the latest version.  Do I need
this update to make it work?  There doesn't seem to be anywhere I can

Now it regularly displays (on the 6210)  "Allow SIM card to send a

The Mobile Republic?22 Jun 2004 19:22 GMT8
I have seen people on here saying that TMR has gone bust. Is this correct?
The home page @ www.themobilerepublic.com does not appear but if you type
http://www.themobilerepublic.com/index.asp you can still access the site.
Advice Re: Dixons/The Link and Orange clawbacks22 Jun 2004 18:40 GMT5
I've just got a new contract phone from The Link and when it came to sign
the contract, they handed me a piece of paper with various t+c's on.  One of
them says that you must stay with the tariff you're on for 6 months and
can't change down.
Help Wanted on Orange website22 Jun 2004 18:07 GMT5
I've just decided to change from O2 PAYG to Orange contract and have been
looking on http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/yourplan/anynetwork/selectplan.
Anyhow, one of their deals is:
200 minutes per month + 100 minutes (1800 in total) included per month for

Sl55 Opinions?22 Jun 2004 17:34 GMT6
I was looking for a small phone, and this seems to fit the bill,
however I have found some bad customer comments on the web WRT build
quality etc.
So, before I give up on it I thought I'd ask here if this is the

Anyone know why a (UK) O2 contract phone can only text to UK when
