Orange offer the first three seconds of a call for free. Is this only for calls using Orange contract handsets? Do other mobile networks offer the same sort of deal where they give you a few free seconds?

Sons phone has developed two faults. Voice calls are barely audible and the microphone has to be very close to you mouth for the other party to hear what you are saying. Are these faults likely to be connected or coincidental? Don't know if the phone has been dropped but it has not ...

My last orange ED50 bill showed 0844 numbers as fully chargeable. Is this being charged correctly? If so what other landline "local rate" or "national rate" codes are chargeable on ED50?

Have been doing a bit of research on getting a Nokia 6230 recently. I'm after a tariff that is cheap! :-) but includes some minutes a few text and MMS (a little of each). I found the Vodafone online 100 tariff at £15pm which would be about right for me, as it has 100 mins

If I send an SMS from a website containing text in <angle brackets> then the brackets get removed. I don't know if the website removes the brackets or if it's the receiving network. Or maybe it's to do with the handset's

I've just bought a phone on Your120 from Orange. Their tariff guides are as clear as mud, I clearly get 120mins per month included, but is this to any phone any network and what texts, emails and GPRS gets included (whatever GPRS is)?
