Orange offer the first three seconds of a call for free.
Is this only for calls using Orange contract handsets?
Do other mobile networks offer the same sort of deal where they
give you a few free seconds?
Motorola V600 v Sharp GX30 or GX2009 Jun 2004 07:53 GMT2
I'm trying to decide which phone to get with a new contract - I think I've
narrowed it down to these two (but I'm not sure yet whether I can get a GX30
cheap enough - if not, it'd be a GX20 to compare with the Motorola). Anyone
have any views? Incidentally, I'm used to Nokias, so it ...
T68i fault09 Jun 2004 07:51 GMT4
Sons phone has developed two faults. Voice calls are barely audible and the
microphone has to be very close to you mouth for the other party to hear
what you are saying. Are these faults likely to be connected or
coincidental? Don't know if the phone has been dropped but it has not ...

0844 chargeable on Orange ED50?08 Jun 2004 23:12 GMT9
My last orange ED50 bill showed 0844 numbers as fully chargeable.
Is this being charged correctly?
If so what other landline "local rate" or "national rate" codes are
chargeable on ED50?
Nokia 6230 bargain wanted :-)08 Jun 2004 22:52 GMT16
Have been doing a bit of research on getting a Nokia 6230 recently.
I'm after a tariff that is cheap! :-) but includes some minutes a few
text and MMS (a little of each).  I found the Vodafone online 100
tariff at £15pm which would be about right for me, as it has 100 mins
Handset advice08 Jun 2004 22:43 GMT2
I'm looking to get a handset on a contract in the next couple of weeks, been

Special characters in SMS messages08 Jun 2004 20:25 GMT2
If I send an SMS from a website containing text in <angle brackets>
then the brackets get removed.
I don't know if the website removes the brackets or if it's the
receiving network.  Or maybe it's to do with the handset's
Orange price plans08 Jun 2004 18:50 GMT29
I've just bought a phone on Your120 from Orange. Their tariff guides are as
clear as mud, I clearly get 120mins per month included, but is this to any
phone any network and what texts, emails and GPRS gets included (whatever
GPRS is)?
