Problems with Ported Numbers?15 Jul 2004 19:02 GMT2
I recall a few years ago, ported numbers experienced problems - for example,
ringtones wouldn't arrive if they were to be sent to a phone with a ported
number.
In fact, I distinctively remember that ported numbers on Orange that used

Best Contract Deal15 Jul 2004 14:34 GMT7
What is the best deal at the moment on O2 which includes 0844's in
inclusives?
I would prefer a basic Nokia and would ideally like the contract only for a
year - if tis not renewable that's fine.

Question about handsets.15 Jul 2004 14:21 GMT3
Is there a phone out there, that I can put a 2 gig compact flash into?
The idea is that it has a standard USB/Firewire port as well.
When I plug it in, my laptop detects a hard drive, webcam, and a
modem. The phone starts charging from the computer.

Just got my new Siemens M65 a couple of days ago and have a couple issues, I
just want to know if there's a fault with the phone or if all the Siemens

o2 stuff..15 Jul 2004 09:36 GMT1

How to send call to dead line?15 Jul 2004 09:12 GMT5
I was bombed yesterday by someone or something (a fax machine?)
calling my mobile again and again.
If I press the red key it sends the call to voicemail and leaves a
(blank) message. How do I send the call to dead-line? The phone is a
Sending an SMS "credit" is it possible?15 Jul 2004 08:23 GMT2
I've been informed it's possible to send a TXT message to a mobile phone
which can then use it to send a free TXT message - Sort of like giving
someone a one-off pre-paid SIM.
But I've never heard of this before - so is it actually possible, or is
Connecting Laptop to Vodafone Mobile15 Jul 2004 07:38 GMT2
I used a Blue Tooth in my Laptop and established a connection to my
Vodaphone mobile which in turn dialled up my ISP on an 0845 number;
exchanged a few emails - no problems apart from being very very very
slow.
Cold calls to mobile users for handset upgrades15 Jul 2004 01:50 GMT24
Recently I got a sales call from a mobile dealer offering to look
into how I could upgrade my Orange handset.
How do such companies get my number?
They also seem to know approximately when my contract renewal is

O2 sucks.
3G signal and the weather!15 Jul 2004 00:07 GMT9
As its been bucketing down today, I've noticed my NEC e616 on Three has
been cutting out!. The nearest base station is some 500 metres away
through the trees we have nearby, so I might presume all that water on
the leaves isn't doing the signal any good. Anyone else noticed this?...
