With 5 members of the household having mobiles, I don't really want to
buy 5 of the gizmos that store the numbers on your sim card. Is there
any way that the numbers on the sim card can be read and then backed
up into a PC.

been trying, but with no luck to connect to some ringtone sites i know with

There have been many people that have walked from their existing contracts
when their contract has come to an end.
Whilst many on this newsgroup do so because they're pretty shrewd at buying

Are Orange now charging for genuine 0800 numbers for customers on talk
plans? (I know they charge calling cards at 10p min)
The reason I am asking is that I have been charged on my bill (10p min) for
dialling the 0800 SIM registration number when I recently upgraded.
