| Current phones with a sensible battery life | 02 Jul 2004 10:29 GMT | 3 |
We've just got a couple of Nokia 6100s to replace some very old Motorolas. Their batteries last about as long as the motorolas' did just before they finally gave up, and laughably less long than my 6310i. They're usable, but you don't want to go far from a charger.

A Relative of mine is moving to Spain soon (Mojacar) and will require a mobile phone contract/pay as you go service. She has already got an unlocked samsung phone so doesn't necessarily need a new phone - although she would consider getting a new one.

| When can I move tariff on Orange? | 01 Jul 2004 20:27 GMT | 4 |
I bought three of the Orange/CPW 3510 £225 cashback offers that were popular around Christmas. Seemed a good deal as the year cost was £75 for 120mins per month each.

I have tried to switch Virgin Mobile's new GPRS service on, I have a Siemens S55 phone. Their website has a facility to automatically send the settings, which seems to have worked however when I want to access the Internet it is requesting a PIN. Which PIN would that be, it's not ...

Me again :( Getting very frustrated with the MP3 aspect of this new 6230 I have. The Nokia music proggy is a total PITA. Once the phone is connected, I can see the standard folders, and seem to be able to transfer files to

| another "ring us back" scam ? (07061751xxx) | 01 Jul 2004 18:18 GMT | 7 |
Had a half-second of ringing on a phone, from a personal number. I know that businesses can get non-geo numbers presented, but this was the first time I'd seen a non-mobile, non-08xx number shown. NB Unlike a premium rate (09zzz) number the network cannot split any
