I have been getting a strange message when trying browse in to 3's services. I am receiving the error message "Communication - Socket set up failed". Does anyone know what this means? I have to keep pressing the buttons again to eventually get in to the services section.

Got an old house brick of a phone (Philips - not got any other details of model number) with loads of PAYG credit. Trying to use credit to enter competitions but phone bars 09 numbers. Is it possible to get 09 numbers unbarred?

how during a call, do i change the call so that i can not have the phone to my ear. I want to place the phone on the table and be able to walk round and still talk, but without a wire. you know what i want to do. TIA

Relative will be in Canada for 6 months, wants a pay as you go /prepay type deal while over there. Currently has a Nokia 7250i which I believe is tri-band so should be OK in Canada. The phone is unlocked.

I have a Nokia 3410 with a PAYG SIM from T-Mobile in the Netherlands. I'd like to be able to use the phone in the UK and India. Can I unlock it and buy a SIM card in those two countries and simply swap the cards out depending on which country I'm in?

My technophobic parents are going to the Philippines, Hong Kong and Indian for 5 weeks and they want to take a phone will them. I was thinking of may be a Nokia, for ease of us, but not sure if they need a Tri or Dual band phone.
