At the start of May the phone began to suffer a 'signal' problem and i

Monthly Plan in the UK11 Sep 2004 01:15 GMT5
I will most probably sign up for a 12-month contract in the UK on a
monthly plan (which will probably be about 30 pounds per month).
However, I have an unlocked Nokia 6610 which I can use the service on,
hence I do not have a need to get one of the "free" subsidized phones.

I read with interest that there are ways on saving money on mobile calls.

my 6230 instead of saying message waiting the message pops up
How to tell which network?10 Sep 2004 20:40 GMT16
Is it possible to determine the network someone is on?
The reason I ask is I'm on 02 and calls to others on 02 are free, whereas
calls to other networks numbers aren't.
So, any way to know if the guy I'm calling is also on 02?

was wondering is are their any disadvantages to signing up for this,
Nokia 6310i Ringtone - Purple Haze10 Sep 2004 19:12 GMT14

on my 6310i.
So far I have only found it available as a Polyphonic ringtone, which the
6310i doesn't support.
Phoning home from abroad - a newbie writes...10 Sep 2004 19:04 GMT6

switched to another network (Mobistar IIRC).  Supposing I'd wanted to
ring a UK landline, could I just have called up the number from my
phonebook (and had it routed automatically), or would I have needed to
