I have just returned from Greece and on the Island I was visiting one part
(where I was staying) seemed to have a good TELESTET service while another
(where the beach we visited was) was better serviced by COSMOTE. My wife's
Ericsson T39 would switch partner from TELESTET to ...

New rates on the Pre-Dial points system28 Sep 2004 14:24 GMT29
Just to let everyone know, we have now updated all our rates on the Pre-Dial
points system. The main changes are that more points are earned on calls to
landlines and freephone numbers. The cost of calling mobile phones has also
changed, with all networks now listed separately. Some ...
O2 charges to ported numbers and 0870 numbers28 Sep 2004 14:24 GMT7
I am currently on Orange, but am thinking of switching to O2 Online
Business. This would give me 100 any time any network minutes, 20
texts, 1 Meg of data and a free SIM card for £11.50 a month. There are
two questions I can't find a definitive answer to.

My daughter has just got a T610 on the BT deal from e2save but voicemail
doesn't appear to be set up. She's contacted BT (after some very long
waits!) but can't find where in the menus she should enter the number they
gave her.

Motorola StarTac 130 - use with Orange?28 Sep 2004 10:31 GMT4
My StarTac 130 will currently access Cellnet with the provided SIM
card. If I pop in an Orange PAYG card it doesn't reject it, but it
also doesn't pick up the Orange network (just says "Searching" and
after a few seconds that vanishes - no error messages though).
Sig-free SMS-to-email?28 Sep 2004 09:53 GMT7
Is there an SMS-to-email gateway that doesn't paste a huge advertising
signature onto the bottom of every e-mail you send? Ideally I'd like to be
able to specify the subject, and have nothing in the body except the text I
specify. Oh, and I have to be able to use it at least from ...
"Service Unavailable" error with Nokia 3210/Vodafone28 Sep 2004 09:04 GMT3
Just switched from a Siemens C35i to a Nokia 3210.  Tried to use the
"Balance Enq" feature and got a "Service unavailable in this handset".
What does this mean?  Why should a Nokia 3210 be unable to ask Vodafone for
my PAYG balance?

If I port my number from my vodafone pay monthly phone to my new O2 online
300 phone will people with O2 phones call me 'on-net'. I think I read in a
post to this group that if I port my number other O2 users will be charged
x-net to call me? Is this the case?
