Anyone having trouble with POP3 and HTTP via Virgin Pay-As-You-Go

I am on Orange YourPlan 120 and I need to make a few calls to the USA.
I'm looking for a company that does a good deal for this and would
prefer to have the smallest commitment possible in terms of not setting

My contract ends in January. I'm interested in purchasing the above phone as
a replacement for my T610. Does anyone know where and what are the best
deals on this phone

A friends colleague recently passed on a PAYG Siemens S55 to him but
he is having no joy in using it.
It recognises the sim and allows him to receive calls, but when making
calls it fails and displays 'Incorrect Entry'.
