Virgin SIM cannot SMS to landline?15 Dec 2004 23:49 GMT4
I can send SMS to a SMS enabled landline phone with an Orange and a T-Mobile
SIM but my Virgin SIM isn't able to send SMS to landline numbers: I just get
an error message shortly after pressing send that says "Message cannot be
delivered".
Porting timing15 Dec 2004 22:52 GMT12
When porting a number between networks, how long is one likely to be without
any service on the ported number? Can the customer have any input to the
choice of porting date in order to minimise inconvenience (e.g. get it done
at a weekend).
3 roaming on O215 Dec 2004 22:31 GMT29
I've just been told by Orange Customer Retention that 3 calls made while
roaming on O2 do not come out of inclusive minutes. Total bollocks?

OSPS:-
I have to say that I find OSPS deals somewhat confusing.
Take the SE K500i for example.

Group,
I have just purchased the Orange 3G Data Card. Upon first loading it
to my laptop running XP Pro with full service pack updates it worked
fine, almost  100% excellent. Immediate lock onto the 3G network
Val:  Sim Free Z60015 Dec 2004 19:02 GMT1
Am due for upgrade shortly and as a result may sell my Z600.  It's
immaculate and still with box, receipt and manuals etc.  No marks or
scratches.
Can anyone give me an idea of what I should expect for it?

V500 ring & SMS tones15 Dec 2004 17:44 GMT3
Having associated a ring tone with a caller, this works as
expected when they phone, but, to my surprise, the phone also
uses this (instead of a discreet beep) for text messages from
that sender.  Is this as designed, or have I missed something?
Mobile Timeline15 Dec 2004 17:38 GMT1
Does anyone know of any good sites that shows the history of mobiles and
their service.
To settle a couple of arguments I need to find out, amongst other things,
when SMS started and what year I bought my first mobile, an NEC 9A.....for
Best way to get photos from V500 to a pc ?15 Dec 2004 17:19 GMT2

with.
My mother has recently bought a Motorola V500 phone and has taken some

Porting to "3", any time limits?15 Dec 2004 16:16 GMT1
Have signed up to and received Nokia 7600 on "3" monthly contract.
Have today just obtained my PAC code from Orange with whom I had a monthly

I appreciate that "30 days" notice to Orange starts from today, subject to

O2 Online Rollover No More..15 Dec 2004 12:02 GMT1
Took 2 new O2 200 Online contracts out last month as they give quite good
value with the 200 mins, 3 months rollover and free voicemail. I noticed on
the O2 terms page that it stated the mins do not rollover but I have had a
few contracts with them which had rolled over.
EP is down until Sunday15 Dec 2004 11:30 GMT4
Disasterous if you have a divert set up and can't
cancel it so all calls will now just hang.  Even the
GSM divert doesn't seem to work as EP takes
priority.  Very annoying.
