I remember reading some time ago something about porting numbers which stated that calls to the ported number are initially directed to the original service provider and then re-directed to the new provider. Is this correct?

Is the only way to modify the volume on the Sagem MY-X7 to be during a call. Can't find the option to change the SMS tone and ringing volumes or to put the phone on silent mode other than to select the silent ring tone. Any ideas?
