I know nothing about mobile phones and I only need to use one for very basic
things - I don't even use texting - so I'm on O2 PAYG and I find that a £10
top-up can last me maybe 6 or 7 weeks.
The battery on my old mobile is dying and I've been quoted £20 to replace

I need a mobile on Voda that is data compatible (i.e. need a separate

The £50 I paid Orange three years ago has finally expired, which gives you
some idea what a heavy mobile user I am. I've heard there are cheap PAYG
voice deals out there. Would it be worth looking into it, or would the
hassle of unlocking etc make it a bit pointless. Any thoughts ...

Had an standard o2 sim, whose number I attempted to port to o2 Online
PAYG. The port was never completed successfully.
Put the old sim in my phone today, found out I had a voicemail. Tried
calling it and despite having 0.00 credit, was able to listen to the

I've unlocked my nokia 7600 from 3 using a code calculator and put an
unregistered o2 sim card in it last night, the phone accepted the sim and
had good reception. This morning I woke up to find the phone saying "phone
restricted", i turned the phone off and on again and it works ...
