My wife recently left her mobile out overnight and it got slightly wet.
Everything works fine, except the reception has dropped to zero on virgin,
on orange there is a about 50% signal. I'm thinking of replacing the aerial

Well...everyone must already be aware of the Nokia 1100 from Amazon and
the Nokia 3510i from Orange - both under £20.
